Hammerfest HF5

This post may come in handy for those of you who've never been to Hammerfest before, and also hopefully clears up a few things for those confused if you manage to win yourself some tickets. I was confused as shit so this also helps me for if I win more next year, I cn refer back to this to remind myself of some points :p

Hammerfest, in a nutshell, was mint. The chalets (we were in one of the many caravan-type things) were mainly warm and each had at least 1 heater, a microwave, kettle, stove, oven, 6 beds, 3 bedrooms, shitloads of cutlers and pots and pans and shit like that, TV, shower and a toilet.
We we no more than a 3 minute walk away from on of the main stages and yet still when lying in bed you couldn't hear much, if anything, from over there. apart from the seagull falling off the roof or something in the early hours, that's the only racket that went down.
There are LOADS of places to get food, Spars, Burger King, fish and chip shops, pizza places. Loads. and there's pubs. Pubs with, more interestingly, huge play areas :p

I won the tickets to get there which means for a discounted price you can get 6 to 8 people to stay there for the weekend from Thursday to Sunday, at £80 a head. A deposit's needed when you want to claim the position of you and your mates going down, so if you pay £80 deposit you can later get the money from your friends and send the rest of the money across to Hammerfest of £400. Sorted.

Me and Rob paired up for the food and drink side of shit, between us we went through 2 beer crates, 3 bottles of spirits and 3 crates of Pepsi, 12 Pot Noodles/Rustlers. We were eating like no tomorrow so more food is a definite. And more Pepsi is a definite. To be honest, a forth bottle of some form of spirit wouldn't have gone amiss.

Anyway I'm gutted to be back. I'd love to go again next year like. Hopeully I'll remember to read back on this to set my mind straight about a few things I didn't realise this year. Oh aye and there's a big fridge, there was enough room to fit in everyone's beer, pop and food. O yerr.

So, as a run-down for this wondering:

£480 for 6 people for the weekend. For this £480, you get:

- 3 bedrooms ( 2 with 2 single beds in each, 1 with 1 doublebed).
- Microwave, Kettle, Stove, Oven, Running water, Shower, Toilet, TV, Heater(s).
- You're given 2 keys to the caravan/chalet, so pick the 2 wisest people out of the 6(or 7 or 8) of you (if anyone is remotely wise).
- Bands playing in different stages.
- Countless places to buy food, drink and general necesseties you may have forgotton.
- Huge car parking area. Phil even managed to park his car directly outside of where we were staying; convenient!.
- Loads of spare pillows and blankets.

What's not included in the $480 which you will need to provide for yourself:

- Toilet roll, Towels, Booze, Food, Playing cards.

This is my favouritest photo in the world. Me, Rob and Phil jigging on down, to what was probably, some clubland remix disco.
