Origins Plantscription Youth-Renewing Face Oil Review

Every once in a while I take the time to make a review. Today I'll be writing my review for the Origins Plantscription Youth-Renewing Face Oil.

This 30ml unscrew dropper bottle is plastic, thankfully. Wet hands + glass jars in the bathroom have never been a friendly combination for me.

When I first opened the bottle, I was overwhelmed by the smooth scent of a beautiful combination of oils. It's how I imagine the Secret Garden would smell in the Summer. I'm a huge sucker for things that smell good, so already I was excited to try this out.

These are the instructions for the product:

Take 2/3 drops of Plantscription™ Youth-Renewing Face Oil into the palm of 1 hand and warm between the 2 hands. Apply by gently pressing the oil onto the skin, starting in the centre of the forehead and work out to temples. Repeat pressing movements across cheeks, working out towards ears and then across chin and jaw, out towards earlobes. If using in the daytime, apply appropriate moisturiser on top.

I always thoroughly cleanse my hands before touching my face or using any products on it because with my skin being naturally oily, the oil on my face can grab onto dirt on my hands and cause breakouts. So, with cleansed hands and a freshly-washed face with a combination of Dermalogica Precleanse and Creme de la Mer Cleansing Foam, I apply the Origins product as the instructions recommend.
On the first day, I was reluctant because the concept of adding oil onto an oily face seems like a bad idea, however 5 days of using this both morning and night has proven my worries to be wrong.
It doesn't leave a residue, and my makeup applies much more evenly and naturally. My skin is beginning to feel so so soft! Not only that, there is SO much in the bottle!

All in all, regardless of my combination/oily skin, this product does not leave a residue and doesn't cause me any breakouts in comparison to the majority of oil-based products I have used on my skin before. The Origins face oil smells absolutely beautiful, applies with minimal effort, and has left my skin already becoming so much smoother and more manageable within just the 5 days I have been using it so far. I absolutely love this product, and I highly recommend it, especially now that it is Winter and our faces are exposed to the harshness of central heating and bitter weather. I rate this a very happy 5/5!
